Our History & Mission
South East Angels was founded in 2020 by Kristina, who experienced the critical role angels play in shaping the future and believed that angel investing could be a more successful and enjoyable endeavour. The group formed with 5 founding members on a mission to grow a meaningful community focused on more than just deals - one built on valuable connections, continuous learning, and making an impact together.
The community has quickly became known as the most active investor in the South East region and started to make a mark nationally - recognised as the Most Active Investor outside the capital in 2024 and chosen as finalists for Angel Group of the Year at the prestigious UKBAA awards three years in a row, 2024, 2025, and 2026, and named Game-Changing Investor of the Year by the Startups Magazine in 2026.

In 2025 we doubled our yearly capital deployment to > £2M and diversified both our community and our portfolio.

We were recognised as the Most Active Investor in the Regions, were listed as a finalist for ‘Angel Group of the Year’ at the UK Business Angels Association Awards, and hosted the biggest angel conference in the UK.

Our group surpassed £1M capital deployed, doubled in size, and celebrated our first portfolio exit.

Our membership saw the addition of some of the most successful local entrepreneurs and we invested in a variety of industries, from healthcare, to insurtech… and wine.
