Our group wins Game-Changing Investor at the Hustle Awards 2026

South East Angels has been named winner of the Game-Changing Investor award at the Hustle Awards 2026, hosted by Startups Magazine. The award, sponsored by London Venture Capital Network, was presented at a ceremony at Shoreditch Exchange in London on 9 July.

The award celebrates investors making a genuine difference to the founders they back, through capital, hands-on support and long-term partnership. For us, it is recognition of an approach built from day one around community, not just capital.

The judges described our submission as a standout entry and one of the strongest in the category. They pointed to our founder-focused approach to investing, the strength of our network, and the consistent impact we're having on founders and the wider entrepreneurial community.

Since launching in 2020, South East Angels has grown into one of the most active angel groups in the UK, with a 70+ strong membership collectively backing 36 early-stage tech startups and investing over £3 million a year. The group has already been named UKBAA's Most Active Investor in the Regions and was a finalist for Angel Group of the Year at the UKBAA Awards in 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Commenting on the win, Kristina Pereckaite (Founder & Director of South East Angels) said:

"Being named Game Changing Investor means a great deal to us. It's recognition not just of the capital we deploy, but of the community, process and collective wisdom that sits behind every deal we back. This is a win for our members and for the founders we're proud to support."

South East Angels’ mission is to make angel investing more successful, fulfilling and enjoyable, for both the investors who back breakthrough ideas and the founders building them. This latest award is a strong marker of progress towards our goal, and towards SEA's broader ambition of becoming the most active and successful angel community in the UK.
